LINDA BYRD

Linda Byrd is a retired Division President of iHeartMedia. She currently serves as Advisor to the President of the Markets Group.  During her tenure, she oversaw 45 different markets of iHeartMedia, including her home market of Orlando, Florida.

Linda began her career in 1977 and has been with iHeartMedia (formerly Clear Channel) since 1982. She received many prestigious honors, including Radio Ink Magazine’s General Manager of the Year, Clear Channel’s General Manager of the Year, Florida Association of Broadcasters’ Florida Broadcaster of the Year, and was listed on the Most Influential Woman in Radio list every year from 2000 to 2022 when she retired. Linda was given the Silver Medal award by the American Advertising Federation for the Outstanding Advertising Professional in Central Florida.

Linda served as President of both the Orlando and Jacksonville Radio Broadcasting Associations and was the first woman to ever serve as Chair of the Florida Association of Broadcasters.

Born and raised in Orlando, she graduated from Colonial High School before attending the University of Alabama, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. Linda’s first job in radio was as a copywriter. She has a son, Riley, who is currently an attorney in Jacksonville. Her leisure time is spent cheering on her beloved Crimson Tide or drinking wine at her wine bar in New Smyrna Beach.
